A Life Between Two Worlds
For much of our lives, we have found ourselves moving between two worlds.
One is the world of cities, institutions, and modern professional life. The other is the world of mountains, forests, rivers, and rural landscapes. Our experiences have taken us across countries, cultures, and disciplines—from sustainability and international development to community engagement, environmental economics, and land stewardship. Yet, throughout these journeys, we have always been drawn back to nature.
The mountains of Northern Spain became a place where these two worlds could meet.
Walking ancient paths, speaking with local residents, studying traditional architecture, and exploring forgotten valleys revealed something increasingly rare: places where landscape, culture, and community remain deeply connected.
Sierra Hermosa was born from that discovery.
It represents both a personal conviction and a professional commitment to helping overlooked rural properties become places of beauty, stewardship, and belonging once again.
